[Views of Cincinnati] Morning of Industry

There's no point in going to sleep, I'll have to be up soon enough anyways. I throw the camera in the car and go down the road to the UDF. I stop in to get a pack of smokes and some coffee. I stand on the patio outside the convenience store looking for the first glimpse of sunlight, trying to gauge how the dawn will look this morning and where I should shoot it from. It's still early, no sign of the sun yet and in the end there wouldn't be. I cross the Southgate Bridge and turn right, heading East. I know where I'm going as I listen to the Blues channel and think things over. I pull into the parking lot behind an abandoned school, using a flashlight to find my way through the woods and down the stone steps. Standing at the edge of the River Ohio looking West towards The Skyline behind Mt. Adams. The Great American Tower sticks out like a light house on the left, Atrium 2 reflected in its glass while The Carew Tower can be seen slightly above the hillside to the right of the church steeple. The fifth or six barge passes by. I make the photograph I want and then I leave as it starts to rain.

I then had breakfast at a Frisch's and felt like shit the rest of the week.
