Five Year Anniversary

Yesterday on October 29, 2012, Queen City Discovery turned five years old. The first post was a test post about how I was quoted in a City Beat article, the second post that day was LeSourdsville Lake/Americana Revisited - photos and a story about touring the abandoned remains of the local amusement park. As of this writing, that article is the still the fourth most popular on QC/D.

For the past couple months I've been trying to think of what I would write about and what photographs I would shoot to commemorate the fifth year. Then I forgot it was coming up.

Even though I don't have a specific subject or post in mind for the anniversary, I am working on a book titled "The Future is One of Mighty Ducks T-Shirts and Discmen." It'll be a self-published collection of photographs that I've taken over the past couple years, with subjects ranging from abandoned buildings to political rallies to landscapes to portraits to motorcycle jumps to photojournalism and all kinds of other stuff. The above photo is what the cover will look like.

Thanks to everyone who's read and supported QC/D these past five years. I appreciate it in more ways than you can imagine.
