The last MLB All-Star Game in Cincinnati Was Two Years Ago
Earlier tonight (now yesterday), I was watching the 88th Major League Baseball All-Star Game that was taking place in Miami. It hit me that it's been two years since Cincinnati hosted the 86th Midsummer Classic in 2015. In some ways that feels like it was just yesterday, in others that seems almost like a lifetime ago. Looking back at the photos from it, there's things I vividly remember and things I completely forgot.
There's a restaurant I like to grab lunch at downtown: The Sports Page. The place features decent food and good service in a somewhat dated interior. It's a charming atmosphere though, with several keepsakes and photographs from the 1990 World Series donning the walls. Having had lunch there before watching the 2017 All-Star Game, it made me think about how my own photographs will age and how much I appreciated sitting in that ballpark two years ago. How, despite all the commotion, pomp, and circumstance, it felt incredibly peaceful to just sit and watch baseball for a few hours.
I forgot how much I love baseball and what it can do for you.
