A Proposed Soccer Stadium, A Stalled Development, and a Question of How We Define What Exactly is "Cincinnati"
In June 2017, local soccer club FC Cincinnati announced it was considering three potential sites to build a stadium upon. The thought of a team labeled as "Cincinnati" playing in Kentucky has drawn perhaps the strongest reactions on both sides of the argument and river.
Music Hall's Bridge and The Neighborhood That Never Was
The elevated pathway from a parking garage directly into the back of Music Hall was once a lifeline for patrons. Now though, that bridge is dying and along with it: the notion of old “urban renewal” projects. Yet, despite a renaissance for both the historic building and surrounding area, many want to keep what others see as a barrier between pedestrians and the city around them.

On the city's west side, weeds and grass frame the skyline ahead, remnants of a vacant lot surrounded by the neighborhood. The lot has yet to be developed and is a stark contrast of urban wilderness amongst the dense Italianate row houses. The nearby laughter of children, voices of residents and sound of firecrackers saved from the Fourth of July echoe the activity of a neighborhood once decimated by a highway - rising again.
