The End of LeSourdsville Lake/Americana
The story of LeSourdsville Lake/Americana Amusement Park is what kicked off this website nearly eleven years ago. It was an early foray into my ongoing photographic documentation of abandoned and forgotten places. As a photographer and theme park veteran, I was fascinated by the place. Now, it's meeting its finality.
Here's one last look. From the ground, from the sky, and from the past.
[Fading Advertisements] German Banks, Carpet Cleaners, Sandwiches, and Coca-Cola
An update to a sign from the book and a few new ones to add to the ongoing log that I still get interested in from time to time.

A Journey To Remnants of the Second World War: The Pu'u'ohulu Kai Hike
Hiking in Hawaii to abandoned military bunkers that would've been the first line of defense in a Japanese attack, or worse, an invasion.
Pizza Propaganda Pinball
While ducking out of the rain and into the warm embrace of Ann Arbor, Michigan's finest pizza conglomerate, I noticed they had a pinball machine.
The Cincy Shirts Podcast
Had the opportunity to be a guest on the Cincy Shirts Podcast recently.
Alleyway Art Gallery
Had to run an errand to Northside the other day and stumbled upon this cross-section of two alleyways filled with art. It was a nice surprise and a reminder to get over to this neighborhood more.
Major League Soccer in Cincinnati!
In 2012 I wrote a piece titled: "Major League Soccer in Cincinnati?"
Six years later, I got to write this followup: "Major League Soccer in Cincinnati!"
[Fading Advertisements] Nashville, Elizabethtown KY, Cincinnati, a PR Guru, and Pizza
Catching up on logging some fading advertisements I’ve seen around town and while traveling recently. A few “non-traditional” examples mixed in with the more common "paint on brick" theme.
Quick Trip To Columbus
Spent the day in Columbus this past Saturday. Went to see dinosaurs at COSI, stayed for the Dippin' Dots. Enjoyed incredible guacamole and tacos from Cosecha Cocina. Sampled some great beer from Seventh Son Brewing. Spent the day with wonderful people.
Barry McGee
In Downtown Cincinnati, there’s a significant piece of street art that’s perhaps best viewed, ironically, from local art institutions rather than the street itself.
Mephiskapheles
In a space known primarily for amazing sandwiches, I would've presumed to find a solitary guitar player setting the ambiance by playing covers in the back corner. I was very glad to find an NYC inspired restaurant catering to an NYC band.
When I Die: Bury Me Behind Sad Sam's Fireworks Outlet and Market
A trip to Nashville with some stops along the road.
Cincinnati Streetcar
Couple of frames made while out the other day trying to find a fresh take on photographing Cincinnati's rail system.
