[Suburbia Lost] The Abandoned Shell Stations of West Chester
The northern Cincinnati suburb of West Chester has two abandoned gasoline stations. Even with the corporate logo removed, the architecture and branding are unmistakingly "Shell" brand.
Edit: As of 2/17/16, the above location has been reopened as a "Sunoco" gas station.
The second station was a little bit older and much smaller, after its abandonment as a refueling stop, it temporarily became a used car dealership.
Suburbia Lost is an ongoing documentation of decay and abandonment in a perceived "American Paradise." To check out the other subjects in the series, click here.
