September 2026 Street Tile Survey
This story is part 9 (of 9) that ultimately connects with “A Field Guide to Street Tiles and Other Literal Street Art of the Queen City.”
Back in July, there appeared to be five new street tiles curing in Cincinnati’s streets. Along with reports from other cities, time has revealed these to be a local “third wave” from House of Hades. One of the five (No. 26-01) is still obscured.

However, the remaining four are now all visible.

Out of those four, No. 26-04 bears a curious message:

The phrase “Talking statues of Rome” also appeared in a Boston tile documented by Jessica Manack in Fluke. At this point, I’m not sure what that means, but I welcome any speculation.

While checking on those tiles, I also noticed even more roadwork going on in downtown Cincinnati.

However, No. 1 from the ”first wave” (dated as “2011”) is somehow still hanging on.

Since I’d documented all the downtown tiles, I figured I should head up to Northisde to check on the “FISH LOGS” variants as well. I finally had some time to truly walk around and explore, coming across nine new (to me) examples (making for a total of 17 observed FISH LOGS tiles).
Cincinnati currently has 29 tiles and everything’s been updated over at the field guide:
